Spring is upon us and I am very excited, while Christmas season is my favorite season, Spring is definitely my favorite color theme. I love all the pastels of pink, teal, blue and so on...Spring colors are very up lifting and it really drives home when you make a layout with girls photo. I did this layout because I love, love this picture of my Rosalie and my darling Lannah. While this two are cousins, but if you ask them that, they will tell you that they are "BFF" They were a little younger here and you can see their innocence just shines out... This was a pretty easy layout...I wanted it to be simple because I really want the picture to speak for itself. When you are this young, you just shine!!! I luv it!!!...If you have any questions let me know and your comments are greatly appreciated.

Hello, I know it's been a while, due to family matters I was MIA for almost a month and now I am back wanting to share some new layouts I had just finished. This layout "Always" is for my baby Dillon and my God son Christopher. This pictures are taken right after we went to enjoy the snow and had eaten @popeyes. It is just a random pictures of these two, but I love it because it's amazing to see them grow and still be close. Even when we live about an hour apart, we (Christopher's mom) try to spend as much time together so that our kids will grow up close together. After almost 15 years, they are close as ever... This layout has several different brand of items, from 7Gypsies, PaperStudios, and others. Next time I'll be posting pictures of all the items I used to make a layout. Some layouts will consist of few items, but sometimes, when you use layering techniques, it could consist more than 10 items on one layout. I apologize for not listing everything here. I will next time. Most of my layouts will consist of mix media. I tried to make this layout to be masculine with a touch of dark undertone. I love all the colors from soft to dark, it shows that my boys are growing to teens as such getting serious in a sense of not playing like little boys anymore. If you have any questions please let me know and all comments are appreciated. Thank you.
Christmas 2016 was amazing, and I am not being bias because we were hosting Christmas (ok a little bias). It was a lot of fun seeing the whole family again. We pretty much only get to see the whole family every 6 months, so it is always a blast when we get together, specially around the holidays. My layout consist of Christmas theme with green and red, but I love using some pastels of pink and blue. I used Megan Marshall cut out images to embellish my layout and it fit perfectly with my picture. I love this picture because my kids are so big now and almost as tall (short) as me. Time really do fly fast. When it comes to my layout, I try to make them interactive by including some hidden tags for journaling. This layout was simple and very fun. I hope you enjoy it, thank you for stopping by and your comment is appreciated.
My layout for today is a picture of me and Isabel enjoying the snow. I made it my mission to always take pictures of my kids. Growing up with rarely having pictures of me, I feel like I don't want my kids to feel what I felt when I was young, unwanted because there were no pictures me. So, I take pictures as much as I can because I know one day, these pictures will come rarely in between. I love this picture because I took this right after she was eating her Oreo cookies. Even when cold, Isabel will never say no to snacks. As you can see she still have cookies on her teeth. I used the images by Megan Marshall and I just love them. I am not just saying that because I am one of her designer for Little Hot Tamale Creative Squad. I love these prints because they are so adorable that matches my winter theme layout. I also used some acrylic paint with stencil technique to add that extra pop to the layout. We are planning to go back and enjoy the remaining snow days and hopefully capture more memorable moments. Thank you for visiting and your comments are greatly appreciated.
I finally decided to jump into the planner wagon. Planner today is really hot in craft community. There are different types and sizes of planner. The difference between the planner before and the planner now, is that the planner today are tailored to the planner. You can emblish them, add images and pictures, to make your planner memorable, and interesting. You can even color, and stamp on it. The planner really motivate you keep using them because they are just to pretty to look at. My planner is none other than Heidi Swapp. I love her planner because its so pretty and I love the simplicity, and versatility. Aside from the planner to remind you of your upcoming event, it also function as a journal. So by the end of the year and you look back from the beginning, the planner becomes a keepsake, a memory keeper. Check out my video for my planner for the month of January. Thank you and your comments are greatly appreciated.
It has been a couple of days since I posted a new layout. Today, my layout is a picture of me loving this snowy season. In southern California, snow rarely happens, which means you have to go to the mountains to enjoy the snow, and that is if there are any snow. With the drought, snow season is really hard to come by in Southern California. So even if we only get to enjoy snow once or twice a year, that is an epic event for the whole family. As you notice most of my layouts right now are inspired by layering concept...I love to keep my layouts simple, with a single photo and focus all into that photo. I just got asked to be part of a design team by Little Hot Tamale Creative Squad by Megan Marshall The die cuts are her design and I just love it. I am into pink and blue fever so I am loving everything. I incorporated her die cuts with other embellishments. These die cuts are just so cute!!! It can be difficult to incorporate die cuts into a layout because you can get lost with the different embellishments. But Megan Marshall die cuts made it really easy for me because her color scheme and the images are within the photo that chose for this layout. Making layouts is really not that hard because there are so many things that can help you produce the type of layouts you want, but to make a layout unique, you have to put a stamp of your own uniqueness that speaks who you are and what the image you want to say. Maybe incorporating your own hand writing, or using paints that gives an extra pop to your layout. The end goal of making scrapbook layout is enjoyment. Did you enjoy making the layout and do enjoy looking at it. It is for you and no one else, that is the motivation for every layout. I hope you like my new layout. Comments are appreciated. Thank you.
Today's layout is a picture of Rosalie and Isabel. This picture was taken in Las Vegas, NV last summer. We were about to go to a wedding and we stopped by to get something to eat because I didn't want the kids to get hungry. As you can see they are both holding chicken nuggets. Rosalie and Isabel about 5 years apart, but Isabel is growing so fast that they look like they are closer in age. Rosalie is such a good sister to Isabel. She even helps her with her homework everyday...I know I'm suppose to do that but I wanted Rosalie to do it because I believe it would make them closer together and Isabel just response better with her big sister than her mommy. They have their moments of fighting, but who sibling that doesn't. I love this picture because Isabel try to smile but her mouth is full, and Rosalie just looks so sweet. I pray that they stay close as they get older. The paper pack I used here is by Heidi Swapp and as you can see I had some spray painting going on. I wanted to infuse some colors without using other papers. I really enjoyed that and it is kind of messy because the ink I used are by SmoochSpritz and they really have good inks. For embellishments, I used Alphabet stickers by The Paper Studios and some washy tape by Heidi Swapp. The hearts and crown on the right side: I used my BigShot and Sizzix dies to have different heart sizes. I really enjoyed making this layout because it was simple, but I really wanted it to be fun too. If you like it, please comment. Thank you.
I love this picture of my son Dillon and my daughter Rosalie. This picture was taken at their last Tae Kwon Do tournament. It always scares me when they enter in the tournament because you never really know if they are going to get hurt bad...But I am confident on my kids, so I try to cheer them as they try their best to beat their opponent. I love this picture because they look so carefree and looks like they were enjoying themselves in spite of my gut churning from worry. My layout has a touch of old world theme. I wanted to show that its okay to smile because their life is just starting and to enjoy it. The background paper was from my old stack by My Mind's Eve (Lost&Found collection). For my embellishments, I used some Heidi Swapp, and by Me&MyBigIdeas. I really enjoyed making this layout and I hope you liked it too. Thank you and leave a comment please.
After almost 4 years of not making layouts, I was not sure I still know how. This new layout is Isabel turning 6 years old. I know that I say this all the time, but I really can't believe she is growing so fast and already 6 years old. I feel like no matter how organize or how much I spend time with my kids, it just doesn't feel like I have enough time to soak it all up. Time really do fly fast and before you know it your kids are moving out of your home. Isabel turning 6 means, she is more stubborn and try to push her mommy's buttons. Of course I give her multiple warning before she is reprimanded, and she uses all of those warning until she sees me grinding my teeth and counting, then that's when she stops what ever she is doing to piss me off. Isabel is so sweet. She always gives me hugs without me asking her. She is very affectionate and never shy off my hugging her. It is something that I enjoy with her, where I rub her tummy or her back. This layout, I made my design simple with multiple color splash of pink, yellow, and teal. It is very girly, and sweet because Isabel is sweet. I love this picture because it captured the moment when she was about to blow the candles...and she blew them multiple times because she wanted to repeat the process. The materials I used here are by Heidi Swapp's Sugar Chic paper collections. All the flowers are by Prima flowers. I also used Heidi Swapp's washy tapes to give my layout a little pop to it.
I hope you enjoyed this layout and I will start posting more daily. If you enjoy this please leave a comment..Thank you.
I have been waiting for theseHeidi Swapp Light Box. What I love about these is that you can customize, decorate and you can put it any room you like. When you purchase the box itself does not coming with anything else but usb cord for power. The accessories are sold separately. It comes with different theme, colors and sayings. Now the box is price at around $40. Yes it is costly, but if you wait some stores like Michaels, Joann, or Hobbylobby will run 40% to 50% off. Sometimes if you are diligent on looking for deals, you find a package like I did when I bought mine at HSN and they had it at clearance + free shipping price of $20 with accessories package deal.
I placed my light boxes around my home. As you can see this one is in my craft room. I use this box to reflect my mode for that day. Like this week, Murrieta has been bombarded with rain.. I also love these light box for its versatility. Unlike other pictures on your wall, these light boxes can be change daily, weekly, and it can change to your own preferences, depending on your mood.
I love it in my kitchen!! It is the first thing that my kids see when they open the door. It really does put a smile on their faces.
I even have one for my daughters room. My daughters room is design with Paris theme and this was perfect. My kindergarten Isabel loves it because she is finally able to read and when she comes home, she run straight to her room and check what kind of saying I have place on her light box. I can't wait for Heidi Swapp to expand and add more into her light boxes collection.
